The Does It Doom Weedeater Signature Weed Metal Pedal isn’t a recreation of a single pedal—it’s the sound of Weedeater distilled into one box.

Designed by Nick Williams of Dunwich Amplification, the Weed Metal Pedal faithfully recreates the combination of Dixie Dave’s legendary JD-10 overdrive/preamp and Shep’s Green Russian-inspired Muff fuzz, running both circuits in parallel to preserve the punch, clarity, and crushing low end that have defined Weedeater’s unmistakable bass and guitar tones since …And Justice for Y’all.

Originally developed for country guitar virtuoso Jerry Donahue, the JD-10 found an unlikely home in sludge metal after legendary producer Billy Anderson introduced it to Dixie Dave. Its aggressive overdrive, powerful three-band EQ, and switchable speaker-emulated voicing became the foundation of Weedeater’s signature bass sound.

Alongside it is a Green Russian-inspired Muff fuzz, based on Shep’s longtime favorite era of Big Muff. Known for its massive low end, thick sustain, and unmistakable grind, it delivers the crushing walls of fuzz that have defined Weedeater’s guitar tone for decades.

At the heart of the pedal is its parallel architecture.

Sprawl blends the JD-10 and Muff fuzz circuits in parallel. Turn it fully counter-clockwise for pure JD-10 growl, fully clockwise for pure Muff fuzz, or anywhere in between to discover the balance that made Weedeater’s tone so distinctive.

Grovel controls the gain of the JD-10 overdrive/preamp, Grime unleashes everything from thick saturation to overwhelming fuzz, and Batter delivers punishing output.

The original JD-10 speaker-emulated voicing is also onboard. Engage the Input Toggle to recreate the response of a miked G12T 4×12 cabinet for direct recording.

Power the pedal with any standard 9V DC center-negative supply, or install a standard 9V battery using the internal battery connector for complete portability.

Completing the pedal is Arik Roper’s iconic God Luck and Good Speed artwork, faithfully reproduced on the enclosure and paying tribute to one of Weedeater’s most recognizable album covers.
