Friedman VX-30 Vintage Series 30-Watt All-Tube 2x12 Combo Amplifier – Ivory

If you've been chasing that unmistakable vintage British chime, touch sensitivity, and rich, harmonically complex overdrive, the Friedman VX-30 delivers it in a seriously impressive package.

Inspired by the legendary early-'60s British EL84 amplifiers, the VX-30 captures everything players love about that classic sound while adding some genuinely useful features that make it even more versatile. Think sparkling, articulate cleans, beautiful edge-of-breakup tones, and singing, harmonically rich overdrive that responds naturally to your playing dynamics.

Powered by four EL84 power tubes and loaded with a pair of genuine Celestion Alnico Blue speakers, this 30-watt all-tube combo has the chime, compression, and responsiveness that make these classic British amps so addictive to play.

One of the coolest features is the ability to blend the Brilliant and Normal channels. Unlike the vintage designs that inspired it, Friedman has placed both channels in phase, allowing you to combine their individual characteristics and create a much wider range of tones. You can go from sparkling cleans with added warmth to thick, dimensional overdrive with plenty of articulation and harmonic detail.

The Brilliant channel offers independent Treble, Bass, and Volume controls, making it easy to dial in everything from pristine cleans to that sweet, just-breaking-up British sound. The Normal channel adds even more flexibility with a three-position Voice switch offering TREBLE, NORMAL, and BASS settings. Whether you're after crisp, open cleans, a warmer woody response, or something thicker with more low-end body, there's plenty of room to shape your sound.

The VX-30 also responds beautifully to your playing dynamics. Dig in and it starts to grind, back off and the chime comes through, or roll down your guitar's volume knob and watch the amp clean up naturally. Add a treble booster into the Normal channel for those classic singing leads and harmonic bloom, or blend in the Brilliant channel for extra sparkle and definition.

A Cut control lets you fine-tune the power amp's high frequencies, while Friedman's Master Volume Control (M.V.C.) lets you push the cathode-biased EL84 power section into its sweet spot at more manageable volume levels.

Finished in a beautiful vintage Ivory cosmetics package, the VX-30 is a handcrafted-in-Los-Angeles amplifier that combines classic British-inspired tone with the attention to detail and build quality Friedman is known for.

If you love vintage British amp tones, responsive EL84 power sections, and an amplifier that really rewards your touch, the Friedman VX-30 is well worth checking out.
