Ken began playing the guitar over 25 years ago. He has found himself in just about every musical situation conceivable. He maintains a busy schedule of teaching, recording and live dates. He performs and composes with his jazz/fusion trio, Slice of Pi, which is currently recording a follow-up to their debut CD. He also performs with rock group Merge. Over the years Ken has performed with a wide range of artists and bands. He has also been involved with studio recording projects, commercial music and has written guitar method books addressing improvisation and theory for the guitar. Ken frequently hosts clinics demonstrating technique and theory. He studied Jazz & Classical guitar at Wayne State University and Theory & Composition at Oakland University.  Ken Studied under acclaimed guitar legends Joe Fava and Paul Abler. Currently, Ken teaches theory and guitar instruction privately.  Some of his many influences include Jazz, Fusion, Rock, Funk, Classical, Progressive and World Music.  Several notable musicians were key in Ken's development: John Coltrane, J.S. Bach, Shawn Lane, Frank Zappa, Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, and Miles Davis. Ken is a reputable guitar instructor, college educated and professional musician. He has made teaching and performing music not only a passion but a career.
